Simon says all that SPARKLES challenge

You can find the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog HERE.
This was a difficult challenge for me,as I usually don't like sparkly and glittery stuff. But I had a attempt and made a card with stamp I coloured this afternoon with bister.

It is difficult to see all the sparkling ,but you can see the dots on her dress sparkle,I did that with Stickles.

After I stamped the text,I did overwrite it with a clear Spica marker and put stickles around the frame.
On this picture you can see that I used the Spica marker on her shoes, socks, lace, collar, sleeves and eyes and little sparkle at the teeth.

On the right side at the top some stick on jewels. For me this is all sparkly enough!!Enjoy your day, thanks for stopping by here,

Playing with Old Dutch Bister

Today I wanted to try the bister out. After I shaked a bit out of the bottle,it looked a bit like (instant coffee) granules,I added some water and stirred and to begin with it was a bit lumpy.
Bister is a pigment made of natural sources like : soot, tar, nuts and more.
The idea that is all natural is what I really like.
I used a blender pen and a synthetic brush,I NEVER EVER use brushes made with real hair as they are pure animal cruelty!(the hairs are pulled out when they are alive and can be 'harvested ' 3 times before discarded, no painkillers,no anasthetic used and cutting hair is no good, they say they cannot use cut hair)
After trial and error this is the painting result of using the bister.

Sorry

Sorry that there haven't been any updates, but the reason for that is that the flu got a stiff grip on me:(
But today I am feeling better,I have to do the housekeeping because I couldn't do it when I was ill and hopefully there will be some time left over to do some crafting......

Old Dutch bister

During my fallbreak I went to the art supply shop Van Beek Art in Badhoevedorp for paper and markers, and of course I like to browse around in a art supply shop.....
And then some bottles caught my attention.....
I just love earthtone colours,so I went over and tried to figure out what this was.On the bottles was written Old Dutch Bister and I didn't have any idea what bister was.I shaked the bottle and it seems that there was some powder in it.
I went to the counter to pay for my other purchases and asked the salesman what bister was.
It turns out bister is a pigment made out of natural sources like: soot, tar, nuts and more.
I like that!
So.....I couldnt resist those bottles and want to try to experiment with it...
I will be a little alchemist LOL!
So hopefully soon I have the tome to do some experiments and will keep you updated.

Candy ends October 15th midnight CET,
and I will post worldwide.

As I recently had to delete my old blog and started this new one,it is time for Blogcandy I think!
Reason that I had to delete my blog was my ex husband bothering me.
Soooo..... I do not need my wedding stuff anymore and won't get married again (been-there-done-that) so offering weddingcandy here!Hopefully will the winner have better use for it then me.....

The candy contains:

6 sheets of printed paper
1 small set of stickers
1 large set of stickers
6 charms
1 sheet of rub-ons
1 little wedding scrapbook
1 handmade weddingdress sticker
1 handmade tuxedo sticker
1 handmade weddingcake sticker.

What do you have to do for a chance to win this small blogcandy?
1.Just spread the word and put a link on your own blog.

Odd Bird Planet bloghop 7

I misunderstood the OBP bloghop.
I thought I had to do ALL the challenges and today I arrived at Teresa's blog.
I didn't realize I had to do the challenge on the WCMD only,I thought I had to hop everyday from one blog to the next, starting by Stamping Mathilda.
Today I realized it was differerent, but despite that,I decided to continue the way I did and follow all the blogs of the OBP bloghop and do each and every challenge.
The challenge set by Teresa was polkadot pink.
You can find Teresa's blog HERE.
I decided to make two very simular cards, one I made for a young girl who is very ill.
These are my results of the pink polkadot challenge....

Odd Bird Planet Bloghop 5

This is what I've made for the 5th Odd Bird Planet Bloghop. This time the challenge was set by Laura.
You can find Laura's blog HERE.
The challenge she set for the blog hop was to use craft card stock.
I am not sure what craft cardstock is, but I used a quarter card stock piece for the base of this card..
Maybe the craft cardstock is the grey cardboard?Like Laura's cardbase, wich is grey?
Anyway,I hope I won't get disqualified......
At least I tried to make a card :)
