Celtic knotwork

The card on the first two pictures,the knotwork is heat-embossed. On the third picture it's just stamped with black ink.On the last picture you can see the difference in darkness;the embossed knotwork is pitchblack.

Caterpiller card

I've got some kiddies birthday's coming up,so I started of with this card.

The caterpiller is heat-embossed and coloured with Copics.The background I stamped with distress ink.

Sunshine award

Today I received this Sunshine award from THEARICA,my quilting friend from North Carolina in the USA.Thank you so much Thearica! What a surprise!Usually I won't put awards on my blog as I am not the quickest with the pc, normally I rather spend my time crafting....

But Thearica is an exceptionnel lady,and this time I am more then happy to make an exception!

Well,I hope people think I am a positive person,despite the many things that seem to go wrong in my life and that my crafts encourage others to do some crafting also,as I think crafting is great for the mind.

Wonderful world of blogging...

Some of you might know,that last year,just before Easter,my little girl became suddenly very ill,and got rushed in an ambulance,sirens on,to the hospital.She had to stay for a week,I stayed with her also.

A very scary experience and at the time I had also candy on my blog (previous blog).From hospital I managed to notify my readers I wasn't able to sort out the candy because of the serious illness of my girl.One of my particpants of that candy is a great quilter,and she contacted me,as she wanted to send all the way from the USA a comfort Quilt for my little girl. A quilt with a story also. I was so touched by the kindness of her,after all she didn't even know us! The comfort quilt was very welcome,as we also had a very bad year ,with deaths of loved ones, and other things going on.

It made us feel that we weren't forgotten,and also was a very valueble lesson to my little girl,
she was so impressed by the quilt for her,send by a lady we have never seen!

The lady I am talking about is Thearica,and you can find her lovely quilting blog HERE.

Thearica hasn't forgotten about us two,and today another wonderful parcel arrived,and look how spoiled we are! What a great surprise!

This beautiful wooden pen is made by Thearica's husband William, he is a great woodturner and makes very beautiful things from wood,check it out HERE. I am a true nature lover this is a fantastic pen for me! I LOVE it!And will treasure it!

The beautiful quilt you can see on the back is the comfort quilt Thearica has send to my little girl after she came back from hopital last year.

She was so impressed with this Giant Lollipop! The biggest she has ever seen!

Tortoise birthdaycard

A friend of mine has her birthday today.She is crazy about tortoises and her favourite colour is blue......so there you go: a BLUE tortoise!! In craftworld anything is possible *LOL
